Automotive Waste Battery Collection

The Waste Batteries & Accumulators Regulations 2009 (the regulations) provide for the treatment of waste batteries. Batteries should not be disposed of through normal waste streams and the Regulations set out the requirements for waste battery collection, treatment, recycling & disposal for all battery types.

Below outlines our commitment to the compliance of the correct disposal of automotive batteries in line with these regulations.

Automotive batteries

As a producer of automotive batteries under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009, we Jardine Motors Group are obliged to collect, free of charge and within a reasonable time, waste automotive batteries for treatment and recycling supplied to a final holders e.g. garages, scrap yards, end-of-life vehicle Authorized Treatment Facilities, Civic Amenity Sites, etc.

We are required to do this in any calendar year we place new automotive batteries on the market.

If any of our customers require us to take back Automotive batteries, they should contact us at the dealership they purchased their vehicle, details of our dealership contact details can be found here/dealership. We will agree the necessary arrangements for the return, proper treatment and recycling of, the waste automotive batteries.
